Does anyone else have a sister-in-law they can't stand but have to deal with? I'm literally dreading meeting her for Easter Sunday because she always leaves me with a bad mood. She's just super negative and has a problem with her own brother aka my husband. I wish I could cut her off, but she's supposedly 'family' and it's not that easy. What do you do in a situation like this?

Try to find a buffer with other family members to limit your interactions with her - be yourself and don’t engage in her drama. Don’t let her kill your joy and remember you and your husband are a family now too!

Super relevant topic for me because I can't stand mine either. You don’t have to spend the entire event directly interacting with her. Just find other family members or friends to spend time with during the gathering and stay with them. That's what I do.

Sorry you're goin through that! I actually get along with my sister-in-law pretty well, even when we don’t see eye to eye. I try to see where she’s coming from and not take things too personally. It’s not always easy, but keeping the peace for family’s sake has worked out okay for me so far.

I used to! Thank God they divorced!

Was at dinner with my mom yesterday and we got into an argument about me not wanting to tell her how much my salary is. I had no problem telling my parents right out of college but just feel kind of weird about it as I progress in my career. She said I am getting a big head and I replied that the exact reason I don’t want to tell her how much I make is because I don’t want to brag/ have a big head. Should I tell my parents how much I make for the rest of my life? Am I over thinking it?
