Does anyone else work in the bookkeeping field? Just curious on how you all manage your clients etc when all of them can vary so differently in what they offer their customers!

Totally feel you! Every client’s setup is its own little puzzle 🧩 I used color-coded folders and weekly check-ins to keep things straight. One client loved daily updates, another preferred silence till month-end. It got way smoother once I got clear on their vibes early on. A good onboarding checklist helps so much!

Ahh that sounds amazing! You sound sound so organised :)
Absolutely, it’s quite fun learning the different ways clients like to be contacted and how often etc

I started offering bookkeeping early this year and it’s been a huge learning process for me. I basically have a ton of different templates and spreadsheets for everyone. It gets hard to just remember everything off the top of my head so having those information sheets is helpful to keep it all separate and not forget things.

Yeah it can sometimes be a bit overwhelming remembering the different specifics for different clients. I feel like it will just take a bit of time to get used to I guess!

Got a 30% salary bump, via an offer for Senior Consultant S&O from Deloitte. Currently underpaid at EY Advisory. I'm MBA and this year is my promotion year at EY for Manager. What to do? Get demoted and move to D? Or counter at EY? Even if EY matches my salary, and promote me to Manager, I will be an EY Manager with a Deloitte SC salary, and probably won't be able to go to D in the future. What do you think? I have built up a good relationship with my Partner and SMs at EY though.
