Varying schools of thought here, but my understanding is that if you separated on Jan. 1, 2025, but are given website time through Mar. 1, your last date of employment can be listed as Mar. 1.
Yes this - I went through a similar situation and listed myself as employed until my website time ran out. I didn’t have any issues when my current company did an employment verification
I’d just ask your firm to be safe but my understanding is that the whole point of website time is to say you’re still employed there especially when let go for RIF or something. However I think best practice is to always ask your firm because if the date/story you give doesn’t match up with what they will report, it can definitely hurt your chances.
