SmartAdvocate was designed by PI attorneys for PI cases.

We use timematters and I've used Needles in the past. Definitely think Needles is better.

I just got an email that an old boss jumped off the building and committed suicide yesterday afternoon. He had a successful law practice and appeared (outwardly) to be fine. This triggered a lot of thoughts about how unhappy I have been my entire time in this profession, how unhappy everybody I’ve encountered has also been (against or working with), and how much more stressful and difficult it is grinding out a living every year practicing law. Suggestions for healthy ways to cope with stress?

Hello! I am a 5th year associate in a major TX metro. My base is $150,000 and after this year’s bonus expect to earn $220,000. In 2022, I generated $2.1M in net fee for the firm. Is this on par with what other firm’s are paying? Is it more? Is it less? Is it just right?

Im on pace to settle between $8-10M this year ($2.7-3M in fees) as pre-lit personal injury attorney, 10 years out, 1 year into new firm, Base $90k, 3% commission, I should clear $175k-$180k this year with benefits and 4% matching IRA, we have 55 employees at the firm, is it unreasonable to be wanting to clear $200k a year? $225k a reach? Don’t want to be unreasonable having only been here a year?
