Does anyone use memes as part of their branding efforts? Is this still a good practice or has it been overdone?

We've done it at times and it went well. But you can get intoxicated with your own sense of humor or quirkiness. So that's a cautionary note. It's good to do, but not to overdo.

We’ve done it, and if it’s funny and pop culture topical it’s done well. I work at a bank with locations in 4 states.

Oh yes, memes work great when used correctly. Audiences on social media platforms are primed to be attracted be memes and nothing performs as well as a well crafted and creative meme. Heck, our memes out perform our video content.

Anyone who has started up a side hustle whilst working in consulting - is it generally a good idea to let your employer know or will they make your life difficult/try to push you out if they know?

(Context - I need the extra income to have a shot at affording grad school, I work for a small boutique, job contract was ambiguous on the issue. Side hustle is selling stuff I make as a hobby on Amazon)

Thanks!

I just finished what I thought was the final round of interviews for a job that I really want. Everything has been going extremely well. The recruiter just called to tell me that they want me to do one more round, though. This will make 8 interviews total, including a full case study presentation to 4 people. Should I be worried? Is this a red flag?

Any tips on how to deal with this…my entire team was let go today (was 5, now just me). We functioned as the Marketing team for 4 brands and primarily focused on product launches and sustaining social media content. My plan moving forward is to only focus on the top revenue driving product launches for now and say “no” to basically everything else. Would love to hear from anyone who has been in a similar situation and can offer some advice.
