Yes and yes I have a pet sitter—3 dogs, 2 visits a day= $60 per day, not cheap but peace of mind.
I’ve looked at prices on rover and they seem pretty fair to me. But, I’m fortunate enough to have my grandmother watch my dog. I call her “doggie daycare” and my dog loves her so much.

No, they're fine and will sleep most of the day. If you want to waste your money then by all means, but it's not necessary.
Your pets basically sleep all day when you're at work. Unfortunately dogs don't have anywhere to use the bathroom unless you use pads. Also, if you have a dog and your neighbors like to shoot off their extra fireworks for weeks it may cause your dog to tear down walls and doors in your house to hide from the sound if you're not home

It depends in what you can afford and what you feel comfortable with. My fur kids have their own room with their own separate kennels. They are fed and given water in each of their crates and locked up so they cannot get into anything while I'm gone. In the summer time there's a big fan circulating the air keeping them cool 😎 and once a week they get pig ears b4 I go to work. They are like pacifiers for dogs 🐕
