Like a dumb dumb took an offer with a foreign startup rather then T2 firm 6 months ago and now I’m 1.5 years out of college with decent experience but it’s all over the place and ranges from niche technical consulting to broad client facing market research and strategy. Pros: 50k bump, company is full remote, no time tracking software, unlimited PTO, 10k in quarterly bonuses, vertical move in responsibility and title, will set me up for future roles in different companies with the title I am looking for (so strategic move)

Cons: Its a startup, the solution they offer is adjacent my desired industry, its a very small team so I wouldn’t be necessarily grow my network, tech stipend for new laptop (but they don’t provide a work one)

Is it a red flag if someone says they don’t believe in self help books like Atomic Habits, Attached, etc?

Vent post: Have a mentally ill family member who is not committed to getting the help they need (e.g., through therapy or medication). Been this way for years with no change or end in sight. Has anyone experienced something similar? Were you able to encourage that person to seek professional help? Frustrating situation and can’t figure out how to make it better.

The past few months I’ve lost ambition and motivation in my career. Have worked hard to climb my way up the corporate ladder and now report to the CEO but I feel unmotivated and have no interest in looking for a new job and working in a corporate position altogether.

Question for the married 🐠- Have you ever gone to couples therapy? If so, how did it work out for you? Did it help and do you now live your life happily ever after? Or did it just delay the inevitable and you are no longer in a relationship with your significant other? I’ve seen so many people go to therapy only to end up breaking up shortly afterwards and dropping some serious $$$
