No, I didn't realize that was even a thing. How much do they charge you per day?

Mine does, but I don't want to buy pto. I feel like it's a waste of money. Because then I also have to have enough money for the day I'm off on lol

My current job doesn't allow this, but I have previous jobs that did. I never really used the perk because I'm not much of a traveler.

No and I’m okay with that. I find myself taking random days off to use up my carryover PTO from last year.

No, but do get an extra week on our milestone 10th anniversary and every 5 yrs after that. Also note we have PTO vs vacation time to use for vacations, sick or personal time.

Yes

One of my previous jobs did up to a certain number of days but they soon removed that option. My current employer doesn't.

Yes. Up to 40 hours. Cost depends on your salary.

It's basically unpaid leave. You decide if you want it enough

Yes

We accrue vacation time based on our years of service, and we can use that time as we see fit, within reason of course. So if I want to take a longer vacation or need some extra time off for whatever reason, I can always dip into my accrued vacation days. Now if I want to take more time off than I've accrued, I have the option to take unpaid time off or use other forms of paid leave like sick days or personal days. It's not quite the same as buying more vacation time outright, but it does give me some flexibility to tailor my time off to my needs.

Yes

So I have family situation I've been dealing with and yesterday at a company function outside the office, my supervisor brought it up in front of a bunch of people. First of all highly inappropriate, but also it's nobody's business. She's made comments before outside of work about how her boss is gay, blah blah blah. I'm just at a loss. Should I report it to HR? And if I do, how do I do it without it being known that it came from me??

I have cash to put a large down payment to avoid the high rates but am scared I have no roots and will move in another few years.
