As someone approaching elderly status, the temptation to think that brief is an oxymoron is lower but def still there. But it sounds like a great brief.
In our hearts, we’re all still going to become Uber athletes some day. What if it was old people training for the combine?
Or maybe something about how testing yourself athletically is one of the few honest no-bullshit things left in an increasingly plastic world?
Or just an empowering message that everything isn’t about being young and beautiful, you still have life and ambitions and value at any age?
Let’s make a deal, you sit in allocations meetings and I’ll do this.
This man ideates
Get the great athletes of decades ago who are now super elderly as models. people your target would have admired in their prime. Powerful, raw portraits and film. “Real greatness never stops.”
I love this

This post is so CD
Just ran an iron man, and the amount of 70+ athletes was inspiring. A lot of them didn’t begin until well into 50s. And they’re good.
Exercise in your 20-30s is vanity.
Exercise past 50 is survival
You could tell the story of an old lion who’s being challenged by youth.
BE B(OLD) 😂
Rising Star
Just do it.
This is both a joke and a serious piece of advice. Come up with your lazy and crappy ideas today so they’re out of the way for when you’re feeling more inspired and motivated.
Flip “Help I’ve fallen and I can’t get up” to something they say when recovering post-workout.
“Ow my knees”
Go all in on pickleball.
It’s dawn, we see a fit looking 30 year old in runners gear preparing to leave his home. he ties his shoes, stretches his hamstring, takes a sip from his coffee and sets his garmin. He puts on a black hoodie that unfurls to his feet, and picks up a sickle. And sprints out the door
Super: outrun death
Tom Brady. You’re welcome.
CR7
Athletic depends could be a game changing product
Elder-leisure:
track suit with built in Depends.
Haha I expect this from a junior that can’t ideate, but a CD? Kudos to you for thinking you could get 🐠🥣 to do your work lol
Open on a shot of a casket at a wake.
Ambient sounds. Chit chat.
Single take.
Slowly, we drift towards the casket.
As we do, we hear a voice that immediately telegraphs gravitas and wisdom. Morgan Freeman is overdone, but in that sphere. If your product targets women, think Jean Smart.
VO: When the time comes, and it will come, what will they say about that last years of your life?
That you spent them relaxed in retirement, binge watching MASH and Leave it to Beaver on TVLand?
Or will they say you tore through them with abandon, constantly reaching, pushing, and striving to be the best version of yourself you could possibly be?
We arrive at the casket, and cease our drift.
Beat.
Suddenly, rising from the casket, we see a sunken-skinned, age spotted hand. The hand rotates it palm towards us, and forms a “thumbs up”.
VO: Exactly.
We pull back, with the hand still sticking up from the casket.
Super/logo comes up over scene - people cross frame sipping coffee, no one sees what we see.
SUPER: You only get ONE SHOT
LOGO: [ONE SHOT]
Open on iconic. It’s lit, not with light but with vibes. The T is revealed. It’s yessified, which is how you know it’s hitting. Cut to RTB lockup. Logo.
LOL you could go all 1950s print ad with it:
“Age ain’t noting but a number…when you’ve got [Brand X] on under.”
Rising Star
Post it in the obituaries? Too soon?
OOH. Photo of weightlifter straining. Headline: Don’t Hold Back
“Don’t forget your diapers”
My Calvin’s, except all older people with “old” bodies in their performance underwear. Show the beauty of growing old, something that every single one of us will one day do. We can’t change time, but we can change how we spend it. Score it to David Bowie, “Changes”.
I’d have to charge you a day rate.
Visual: Elderly man helping Gen Z across the street
Copy: they might shit their pants, but you won’t.
