If the future of finance is software, then I’m thinking CPAs aren’t part of that future (at least not for a while). What’s the crypto/DeFi CPA? Does that exist yet? Hyatt globalist is the supreme loyalty status. If you are staying in full service hotels (Hyatt regency, grand Hyatt, etc) I’d even more strongly recommend it. Not a fan of Hyatt Places though. Points go the furthest too.
Hyatt > Marriott > IHG > Hilton in terms of rewards otherwise.
Chief
Marriott has the most properties, so greatest flexibility. On average, Hyatt has better properties, but they tend to be limited to larger cities. If you’re consulting for a sector that won’t send you to backwater towns, consider Hyatt. Otherwise, Marriott.
RIP SPG.
Would stick with Marriott as the network is the most vast. And the hotels are generally nicer.
So glad I switched to Hyatt from Marriott. Better use of points.
Marriott has more properties than Hyatt. IHG have most of all (and using points to crash at holiday inns during road trips is a handy way to use up points).
Hyatt is my primary
IHG is my backup
Pro
Still mostly happy with Marriott. I’ve tried to do some Hilton spend because I enjoy free Waldorf stays.
I think they’ve all devalued their points quite a bit in recent years, but such is life.
Hyatt is the best. I’ve stayed all over the world with them and I never had a problem finding a spot anywhere. They do a ton of partnerships with other smaller brands too.
If they have properties where you want to go, Omni has by far the best rewards program of any chain I've used. I've been Omni Black, I'm Marriott lifetime Titanium and former Hilton Diamond. Omni has always treated me the best.
