I’ve heard so many men say, “Finance isn’t for everyone,” usually as an excuse when women or people from nontraditional backgrounds don’t stick around. But finance should be for anyone with the skillset, right? The issue isn’t who belongs—it’s that the system wasn’t built to support different kinds of people. What do you think? Is finance really an industry where anyone can succeed, or is there still a glass ceiling (or glass walls) that make it harder for some?

I recently lateraled into Big Law. Most of my colleagues are homegrown. My shift did involve a big change in practice area, and there's work that I haven't done before that I now have to do.

But, sometimes I feel stupid here, even for work which I have done previously. It's like I'm unable to understand instructions the first time around. And I have seen my colleagues getting annoyed by that. It's like I've become dumb. In my defence, I could say they're giving half assed instructions.

Any best tips/ step by step practices to grooming a product roadmap? I inherited one and it’s been difficult grooming it. Also a new PM. Do I start by looking at epics’ urgency and then dependencies? I know what needs to be done.. I just haven’t gotten down a good system to do it. Any advice helps!
