I think they are planning for 9 hours a day for 4 days so need to get information on this if anyone went to the meet
@SLDE1: I think that is a white lie, of reverting to 3+2. What is very likely is, most companies will revert to full 5 days schedule in future, may be in next 3-4 yrs.
If they had to start from relaxed culture, they could have easily started with 3+2, no need of 4 days office schedule. Even 2 days would have done. Now, since they must talk nice and diplomatically, they might be mentioning like that, just so as to show up a flexible behaviour.
To summarize still VDI challenges and WFO for 4 days will be there for long. So till they setup everything all these facilities and all will be there once stabilized may be they will think in cost reduction point of view.(Could be lay off’s also (;)
Thanks. These folks don’t seem to understand the pain faced due to bad tech environment provided. There should have been clear timeline of when VDI will be removed, what is being done about strict website filters applied etc., But it looks like there is no clear timelines.
Good thing is, it seems lots of very relevant questions were asked by folks today, some very pointed ones.
Even if they ignore the concerns, at least these will go up top, and senior leadership will know that people outside are not talking great things and they have these concerns. Hope it makes them take corrective actions.
Ya for most of the questions they are saying still they are in a building phase and they also don't have much clarity.
what kind of laptops are provided to employees? Dell, HP or Mac? i5 or i7 with how much ram configuration? Any one can update on this? Bad hardware is another pain point while wokring
Lenovo Thinkpad. Exact configuration not known, someone had commented it has i3 processor, but he didn’t give further detail as to how much RAM. How much in VDI etc.
Office setup is awesome. They have signed 4 floors now . They have plans to sign 4 more. They had invested good amount of time and money. For most of the questions they said as it is still in initial phase they will let us know once we join. VDI is true. We need to work using VDI only.
Did they say that VDI is here to stay, or did they say that they will phase it out soon?

One question asked was about the higher studies if they have any tie up with any universities. They have taken note of it they will keep us posted once we join
