It does
It gets better!!!
I was extremely overwhelmed with all the meetings but now that I’ve been here for a few months I feel ALOT better about my decisions. Obviously it depends on your role / manager but so my experience has been good
Part of stress is your approach to the job. You can have a very easy job and be stressed or have a very difficult job and be relaxed. Take it easy, enjoy knowing that as a new person you are not expected to have many answers, and give yourself permission to relax on the job.
Day 1 was rough but day 2 should be better. Write down notes, start to get a grasp for what your boss(es) need(s) from you, and pick up one thing at a time.
Going through the exact same thing at the moment. I think patience is key. Additionally if I have gotten myself into a cluster without realizing I will leave after 3-6 months.
Agreed with this. If you've made the jump once you can always make the jump again! A new job doesn't have to tie you down!

There are days industry is just as bad as PA (I personally had one of those yesterday); however, I’ve never had a day in industry I’d say is worse than PA and most days are way better (specially weekends 🥳). Hang in there!
My first few weeks were rough. I was always tired and frustrated but I was just adjusting to a new environment. Also you don’t need to try as hard as Public lol you’d be surprised at how little people know / work ethic
I’ve been feeling the exact same! The hours and pressure are just as bad. Just getting burnt out and probably doesn’t help with the whole work from home situation....
Feeling the same way but trying to be a bit more patient and give the job and myself some time. Keep in mind, starting a new job in a remote environment is tougher too!
I think some of us left to industry for really good positions which are demanding, and due to covid situation clients waiting to fill positions until extreme need. Our caliber is high, but so is the amount of clean up work.
