Considering an exit to a startup that just completed a solid series B. They’re willing to provide competitive comp package and surprised how large the base is for a startup. I’m applying to jobs in a high COL area and am currently living in a low COL area. I plan to stay in the low COL area and work remotely until offices open back up which won’t happen this year. As I’m interviewing and negotiating salary, I want to be reasonable and fair. Should I negotiate 2 salaries, a lower salary for the time i work remotely in a low COL area and then a higher salary for when I relocate to the high COL area?
