How many months at jg5 one needs to be , before getting jg4 ? If one joined shell at jg5 but has more exp like 9/10 years ,can he be promoted early to next level or can we ask for early promotion in shell?

When you post long, double-spaced anecdotes on LinkedIn, what result are you hoping for? Is the navel-gazing self promotion intended to prompt engagement? Or are the simple platitudes just to serve as a blip of inspiration for the masses?

How to negotiate a raise for a promotion?

I've been offered a job in a different group at the same company that would be a promotion and a 10% raise on my current salary. I just received a 3% annual raise 1 month ago and the 10% is on top of that. My new salary would be $106k.

Market value would be closer to $110-120k based on what I've been told by recruiters for similar roles.

Any advice for how to negotiate to get the offer closer to market value?

I just finished my Masters at UT Arlington. I’ve been working for this firm for almost 3 years in uptown Dallas. I technically don’t have a title, obviously because I’m not license. I mainly do a lot of renderings and postproduction work along with some digital graphics for a lot of projects. Is it too soon to ask for a pay raise? Or how do I come about that?

I was told not to take off during summer & busy season if I wanted a promotion. My overall utilization was high but took a month off during non busy season. How would you approach this? I wanna quit!

Does transferring into M&A effectively “reset” your career/promotion progress? Eg. if you’re a 2nd/3rd year Senior prior to transfer, would you spend 3 more years as a senior in M&A?

Current salary is 120K, salary for next year could jump to $140k+ given promotion to manager.

Does it make sense to target 130-145k for exits into roles below manager or should I be waiting for manager opportunities?

Got an offer from Accenture with CTC 16.5 with fixed 13. When they discussed i could have said more.. initially they were saying fixed as 11 with ctc 14.5. then they came to 13 now.
This is my first switch .my current ctc is 6.6 expecting a promotion in the current company so may b l reach 7.5 here
Now got the offer mail, how to negotiate for more like 15 fixed?? My experience is 8.8 yrs

I am working on a 3y local contract in the US since 2.5y - long-story, but wife never made it over and now wants me to come home.

I am responsible for a major strategic product and CEO really wants to keep me (incl promotion). I can transfer back, but wouldn’t be guaranteed a job at same level. I expect better opportunities, if my CEO would push for me, but don’t know how to ask him, given that he has a conflicting interest.

I’d love some help thinking through this. I’m currently renting for $1600 base ($1800 total) and live in the least desirable part of town, and expect it to raise to about $2k/month. I work as an AGM in a busy restaurant. Been working there for just over a year, and haven't had a single raise. Been a patent prosecutor for the last 6 years. Kind of burning out on patents. I like them, just not all day every day doing basically the same 2 projects over and over. Any advice for someone looking to transition to a more general counsel type of role? I have some experience in other IP areas, business entity formation, and contracts, but nothing in securities, M&A, or litigation.

Can I use a 3P task app/website like Todoist or wunderlist organize my to do lists or projects? Not sure if it would violate some sort of rule since it would be on a separate website.
