For Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer role I have few questions
1- How is the work life balance? Late night work? Tight deadlines or micro management?
2- How is the learning opportunity? I mean to say as a senior engineer is it allowed to look into new tools and implement it? or it always no no and keep using what is currently available? Any learning opportunity in AI?

Anyone who has started up a side hustle whilst working in consulting - is it generally a good idea to let your employer know or will they make your life difficult/try to push you out if they know?

(Context - I need the extra income to have a shot at affording grad school, I work for a small boutique, job contract was ambiguous on the issue. Side hustle is selling stuff I make as a hobby on Amazon)

Is it more worth it to go into FDD at a regional firm now, or hope that my current big 4 will transfer me come spring 2021?

I'm kind of in the mindset of only doing FDD at big 4, otherwise I'll go straight to industry. Am I being too down on mid-market FDD experience and the related exit ops?

Also, I can't go the route of doing FDD at a different big 4. Already got rejected by all of them cause I'm not in audit (but have CPA).

Best practices to avoid burning out in FDD?

My bank (boutique - ~20 people) is looking to hire an experienced analyst (1-2+ years of FDD, Valuation, Equity Research, or IB experience). Must be in NYC. Pay is exactly what you’d see as market on the Surveys on insta & hours prob around 80.

very Selective jobs( MF PE and BB IBs) kinda blow these numbers out of the water... but for the more attainable exits like MM IB and and corporate development... considering wlb and pay, is the grass much greener?
