I needed this laugh today.
Project Management. Been there done that but rarely did I only work a 40 hr week. Closer to 50, until I was bumped to a different classification that removed OT pay. Keep your personal boundaries on the OT, if you need to, but please for the sake of your long term career, don’t be that ONE that puts in fewer than 40 unless your contract specifically states your employer has agreed to less, as in a 30 or 35 hr position.
American Employers still believe FT is 40 hrs.
Your future self will thank you if you maintain the weekly 40 and your coworkers will be more agreeable to help you if their workload allows it.

There’s no way you could get away with coming in at 10 and leaving at 3/4. MS internal audit specifically workload is far too heavy to get away with that. Everything is tracked

Where is this 10-3/4 coming from? What industry has those hours?
If you really want to get the work done plan for a 7:00am or 7:30am start and finish by 5:30 or 6pm
You mad bro? You literally have people of various roles/divisions telling you that it’s not happening at MS and you’re responding as if only front office/IB folk are saying it.
I will not see you in the office because you will leave before everyone start working. Curious during the 5 hours you are planning to work there are you taking 2 hours lunch as well? Great deal!
You are the one behaving as a baby asking “how a typical day looks there”. You will find out when you start working there in the same way than the rest of the mortals in this world did.
No way. Minimum hours per day are 10 hours so that is a not a possible scenario in any of the big banks. You can probably do that in small companies but not in MS.
If you work here please don't mess the flexibility that MS provides us by attempting to do this. The former CEO was furious to find out that people weren't swiping in their required amount of days.

I know some groups are 9-5 while others are 8-6. The start is a firm 9/8. Finance requires 3 days a week in office.
Any accounting/finance role requires you to work at least 40 hours a week and in most instances closer to 50 hours a week. A role where you would be working from 10 to 3 would be a part-time role.
