Presenting is only part of a good pitch. Be friendly, personal fit is what seal the deal!
Just be aware of how fast you’re speaking. I know when I’m a bit nervous I start talking at light speed and have to remind myself to slow down.
My nerves left me when I started treating pitching like performing. Consider yourself a character. What would your character wear? How would they act? What did your characters zoom room look like? I’m not saying to be fake, but to acknowledge the performative nature of the experience.
Have fun. Seriously. When I started thinking of pitch presentations as a chance to meet new folks, share great ideas and more, I no longer feared them. And I can feel my energy rub off on others.

Don't over think it! ☺️
Find out up front if questions are allowed during, or after. Either way make sure you are listening to others that are speaking so you don't get thrown.
Have fun! This should be a good thing, not stressful!
Good luck. Let us know how it goes. Sell the pitch but remember that the client is looking for someone they want to work with...slow down, relax, listen, engage.
Great to hear. Glad it went well. “A good conversation” is what you want. Good luck with the outcome.
Good luck! Also I would LOVE to work in media. I work in finance right now so if you have any tips for me I would appreciate it :)
Do you know who the team is that you’ll be meeting with? If so do a little background on them.. always good to know where folks have been and if you have any personal connections.
Yeah we had a win brief distributed to us from the biz dev team and it included info about everyone on the call, what they do and the kinds of questions they might have, as well as some personal info. It was helpful in just thinking about them as people who are trying to be good at their jobs. Didn’t have any personal connections when I looked them up but it was a good exercise to just familiarize myself with them more and their backgrounds. Thanks for the tip!
