I’m starting a weekly podcast where I (a nurse) have long form conversations with other nurses. I don’t want the podcast to feel like a formal interview, but I down to earth, comfortable conversation.

I’m looking for 10 nurses who’d like their voice to be heard!

I want to talk about the problems in nursing, the solutions, stories, culture, what you want other nurses to know, everything.

I’ll go first: MP told me that on initial emails, I am always to start with “Hello [name],” but after the initial email, I am not to address her by name again in the same thread. Initial greeting can only be “Hello [name] ” because just first name is too brisk and a “Hi [name]” is too informal. Had a 5 minute, in depth conversation as to why she prefers it this way…

I'm having trouble getting promoted. Many people tell me my designs are more senior level, I now throw my phone in my desk, and I'm more punctual but I'm not really sure how to wow them.

I just accepted a VP role in-house and am about to have four direct reports and a team of 10 people working under me. Some of these people are way more experienced than I am, and I’m feeling very imposter syndrome-y. Any books or podcasts or recommendations that might make me feel more prepared?

Just how bad would it be to quit without a two week notice? I’ve been bait & switched into a horrible role, overworked to the point of having medical problems, and no amount of diplomatic talks with my manager has improved the day to day. My mental health and my personal relationships have been on a steady decline.
