Had a second round interview with an agency in early Feb. HR followed up the next week to let me know they were finishing discussions, would regroup on next steps, and to let them know if anything changed on my end.

I’ve not heard from them since, despite following up two weeks ago.

Is this normal? Have they found a preferred candidate or is the role not open anymore?

I recently found out I was “promoted” or giving a higher title, same pay. I was told HR was updating employees titles based on the work they do… Is that even a thing?? My mid yr review is coming, should I just ask for more money?

I'm trying to attend several interviews. My current CTC is <10LPA, therefore even if I switch jobs and am offered a package that is 40%–50% higher than my current CTC, my new income won't be much higher than 12LPA–13LPA. However, I am on the lookout for even better ones. So, if there is a negotiation, can I mention to HR that I already have an offer of at least 12 lpa and persuade them to give me more? Will this ruse succeed? Or will they demand to show an offer letter?

How do I be a decent manager to a coworker who's upset I've been promoted twice in two years and they haven't?
