I bombed a question in my interview! Feeling horrid
First American Financial Corporation I have attended two rounds of interview in First American Finan Company last week and have received an email that I have been selected in their interview process. The talent acquisition team did not send me an offer letter instead have sent me a BGC form which I submitted yesterday. I found it very strange as usually first offer letter is rolled out and then BGC check happens if the candidate accepts the offer. Today there was no communication. Can anyone tell me if they faced this situation?TIA

One came back 2 months later! I already had a new job by then but yeah, agencies can suck.

lol, yeah - I also had one call a month later and was like “ok, we’re ready”
Yes absolutely! I interviewed for a job with a recruiter and never heard back about it. About a month and a half later she emailed me with a different job posting and by the end of the week I had been through three interviews and was given an offer for a better position. Follow up and thank them for their time! It will go a long way to keep that relationship and can keep you as an option at the top of their mind when they get new postings across their desk!

I had what I thought were some great interviews about 3 weeks ago. One agency isn’t actually hiring for my position until December or January so get that. But other one seemed to want to fill the position rather quickly. I wasn’t really looking to make a move. And not sure what I’ll decide if I get an offer. So I’m not pressing them. But point is it seems agencies are taking a while to make decisions right now. Maybe they’re rethinking if they should hire right now with everything still being unstable with the economy.
follow up. ask why you weren’t chosen to learn from mistakes. it’ll show them you’re eager to improve, and will help you for your next. keep your head up fam
HR’s usually frown upon recruiters or hiring managers answering those questions. And even if a candidate gets an answer it often isn’t the truth due to possible lawsuits.

my current position. Left the second round of interviews: we’ll be in touch about the 3rd round to meet the managing director. followed by two weeks of radio silence when I thought I was being ghosted. out of the blue: here’s your offer [and there was no 3rd round]
