I’ve never been back at house however during a lot of Account openings with aramark I have been able to work and support and do both. I can tell you in front of house is way better than back of house.

I made that change several years ago and it was the best thing I ever did. Sometimes you don't know until you make the switch. It really might be worth it.

I started back of house, tried front of house, and then returned to the back. Front of house didn’t match my strengths, as guest interaction, pacing, and management felt different from what I expected. Before making a change, ask yourself if it fits your strengths and what you enjoy. I’d love to hear if anyone else made this kind of switch, and whether your transition worked out better the first time.

This is something I need to consider, I’d need some practice with guest interaction 😂. I honestly just wanted to make a change and knew FOH could possibly be less stressful and laborious. In all actuality, it has its own challenges.

What types of work accommodations can help people with ADHD? I am starting to believe 35+ of having not managed my ADHD has really negatively impacted me in career growth etc. I'm realizing a lot of things about myself are because of the ADHD. I want better for myself and family but 1. I don't enjoy the same things forever 2. Imposter syndrome and RSD make me believe it's acceptable to start over in new places at low salaries. 3. Typical college won't work for me. 4. I also can't relocate.
