That is a question for the HOA
Ugh been there. Lived in a high rise in Chicago and could hear the couple in their bedroom next to mine as though they were sitting on my bed with me. Steel and glass structure - no way to soundproof. I survived.
Perhaps acoustic panels on shared walls? It will help

I was thinking along the lines of removing drywall and adding insulation and wanting to understand if that has worked for others.

I’ve reviewed the HOA rules and should be good with this approach. Will double check with the president just in case…
Wall is likely sound proofed already so taking it down and adjusting won’t help
Drop ceilings ‘May’ work. But your best bet is a neighborly conversation about quiet time etc
White noise can also help

I have a Dyson fan, an air purifier and dehumidifier near the wall and I can hear the folks coughing, talking & small wall smacks. That’s why I’m thinking there’s no insulation/sound proofing. It’s what I think is their bathroom, so I’d say I’d be a tough convo to have.
Person above I can hear them walk everywhere in their apartment and have had the convo w no success, given the excuse nobody’s ever complained in x years…
Hence why trying to see if anyone has effectively sound proofed their condo.
Random question but when did you purchase and what rate did you get? Looking to buy soon and haven’t started shopping rates yet
