Take the temp job to have income coming in and in parallel look for your permanent position.
Agree. Also, your temp role can always be extended. I did a temp to perm role that was supposed to be 6months and it turned into a perm role after almost 2 years
I had a contract job for a few weeks and then got an offer elsewhere and left. It is temporary by definition. Take one of these jobs as you continue to look. A job (even a temp/contract one) is still a job and better than having no job. I was so thankful for that extra income as I looked. And many of these temp jobs turn into permanent roles. Don’t overthink it and just take it.
I have gotten many jobs in my career as a contract to hire position.
After college, I did temping to pay the bills. I was always hustling the last month of my current assignment to find something else. It's not too bad except back then I had zero health insurance, which was my biggest hurdle.
Take the temp role. It's always easier to get a new job when you're already employed because the new employer feels they're stealing you away from your current employer. And as others have said, many temp roles can move into permanent. Good luck.
Most temp positions are truly temp to permanent, even if they don’t advertise it.
I agree as well. It is definitely easier finding a job when you already have one. It will provide income and while you search for something more permanent
I haven’t done temp work personally but my admin started as a temp before we brought her on full time. I’m so thankful we worked with the temp agency to find her because she’s been an absolute blessing to our team. She’s going on 2 years now!
How's this going OP?
