Has anyone gone from working for someone else to being a business owner? I’m curious to know, was there a big difference in how much you worked? Someone told me that you don’t get to “clock out” as a business owner. I’d love to own a small business, but I would think twice if it would burn me out even more than my current job

If you own a business, you never stop working. You not only have yourself to think of, but you have to pull all of the weight in order to make sure the people who work for you are taken care of too. It’s way more stress than being employed by someone else. Business owners work way harder than they appear to on the outside. Many sleepless nights. I jumped out 15 years ago and started a small business and I was never happier than the day I went back to work.

Sounds about right. I’ve always said I’d like to work for myself, by myself. Prevents me from having to deal with other personalities and behaviors. But the long days and sleepless nights come with it, not sure I want to burn myself out even more
