Yea I left BAML for GS... now I'm on the way to PE. You old people killed banking. Way to go.
(Except a lot of us are analysts leaving for the greener pastures as your clients in private equity / hedge funds).
Yes. I left that manager. Incidentally it was at BAML.
It's time to leave. I'm sorry but people relationships are most irreversible in my experience
@GS1 - in M&A?
@VP2 considering we recruit in late January before we even know what we're doing at the desk yet, do you really think you're BS marketing decks are what landed us the job? I mean if that makes you feel better about being a "lifer" then sure
Either way, have fun begging us for deals down the line 😈😈😈
Seriously tho, ever stop to think why MBB get better candidates? It's because they recognize that the entry level consultants will leave and become clients. Think I'm going to look fondly at my banks when deal time arrives? The answer is no.
Yep
Leave bra
Yes, I would suggest leaving if it happens multiple times. A manager could have a really bad day as well.
Two years. Fortunately this person moved desks recently. It was a nightmare
How did he / she break you?
Yes and that's why I'm not at CS any longer
@VP: not gonna give away too much now... that'd spoil the anonymity.
SVP: good question. The answer is the manager didn't "break them" because all of the above posters are still working in the industry. I'll wager, those above, likely earned promotions and greater responsibilities since working with that "bad" manager.
GS1: us "older" folks created experiences that prepared you for greater heights and opportunities. You are welcome. Congrats.
