I'll take a businessman over a politician any day, and I'm willing to overlook just about anything as long as someone is honest about it
Sure. Him and the guy who has a trump 2016 placard in his yard and a Nazi Swastika flag on the roof of his house. Not all Trump supporters are outwardly racist, bigoted, misogynists, but the very act of supporting one calls into question your priorities sufficiently for me to be suspicious.
I'd just like to remind folks that if you think donald trump is a racist, bigot, or sexist, that makes HIM those things, not the people who voted for him. You've go to separate the two.
@DB1 that's... chilling.
@UBS1 the thing that I don't get is that Trump isn't honest. There are videos of him saying things and other videos of him denying having said those things. I don't understand how people were distracted by his rhetoric.
It was more the dislike of Clinton than supporting Trump. We need a change because more of the same is going to put us on a worse path. They are both liars and terrible people but at least Trump will support small business, decrease regulation and adjust some obama policies that have supported laziness and handouts.
I do not agree. If you voted for a racist. Misogynistic, bigot, sexist politician, a real asshole, it means he impersonates the values you believe in and the kind of president you want, so you guys are exactly like him!! And you deserve everything he will do to you, to your economy, your country and your reputation which is now as low as North Korea. I would say now even Putin is almost preferable to your Trump, if it is not that they are on the same level. What a squalor. How did you let yourselves fall to this low level guys? You wanted to make America great again. You just proved you can't.
Supreme Court, taxes, small business, not a corrupt career politician, etc. As an immigrant who did things the right way and took 16 years to become a naturalized citizen, I think both candidates left a lot to be desired on immigration policy. Calling people who voted for Trump racist, misogynistic, homophobic, etc is also extremely low, offensive and a baseless accusation. There are plenty of things he's said that I fundamentally don't agree with and cringed at, but at the end of the day I could never vote for Hillary and I'm glad she's not the first female President (and this is coming from a woman).

Because im not an idiot
Hillary is a criminal
I don't give a fuck if he's a racist himself- scores of his supporters are bigots, white supremacists, and the like. Clearly, he had more people than that group vote for him, but he- and everyone who voted for him- is complicit in that behavior. Unless you're out there defending the women, Muslims, etc getting harassed and yelled at- you are part of the problem. For the record, I voted third party- you didn't have to vote Trump or Hillary.
I believe it's "Screw U"
really is color there CS1
@barclays1 - you are excluding the possibility that they prioritize other things over those things
And Hillary has done what exactly to defend women throughout her career? Other than being one and running on that I have seen nothing from her. Sure I could've voted third party or wrote in a candidate and Trump still would've won. And based on your logic, there are also many of us not "part of the problem" as we are out there taking action and "getting harassed" for it, but we still voted for him. So that logic doesn't hold up. I just find it amusing that those who have attacked Trump for name calling and the things he's said (and at times rightfully so) have absolutely no problem calling others all sorts of names and making crazy generalizations.
Simple - His virtue: he wasn't Hillary and an end to the "make America crap like Europe" policies of Obama
Hillary might be a criminal, but Trump will soon become one, now that you have given him enough power to do it. He is like Berlusconi, actually one of his admirers, and he is just like Berlusconi was when he entered the Italian political scene. Businessman, rich, no moral values, pussy lover, Putin's friend, jester of ignorant masses. He also has Berlusconi's old political program! Ah! History repeats, just in a different country. Bunga bunga is coming, my US friends. Good luck with that.
This isn't about Hillary. She lost, that's over. But the racism and the hate crimes are flying out of the woodwork in droves, and Donald Trump allowed it. If you're educated and you understand how those things are problematic, yet you chose to ignore it, that's accepting the risk. Now help mitigate it.
I believe it is because they are all assholes
