Has anyone had success with referrals? I’ve referred several candidates who were genuinely qualified, but they all ended up getting denied. When I applied myself, I also used a few referrals and was denied for those roles. Ironically, the role I ultimately got at Visa was one where I had no referral at all.

I’m curious if referrals actually carry weight here, or if they mainly just help get an application into the system. Has anyone seen referrals make a real difference?

I owned a business for 6 yrs and had a B2C sales role for 3 yrs after (not SaaS). I’ve now been a B2B2C Key Account Manager at a Fitness Tech scale up for 6 mos and would like to be making more $ so am considering applying to other B2B SaaS companies. I currently own the entire (long) sales cycle from prospecting to account management. I’d like to stay in a similar role in another company. Will I have a difficult time landing an SDR/BDR, AE or CSM role elsewhere? I’m a 48 yo female.

I knew I was very early in the process since the job had only been posted for a few days. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't heard back, even after reaching out to the recruiter.
