If you are laid off due to COVID and on h1-b visa, would you disclose to the new employer in the initial interview phone call itself about your exact situation i.e., laid off due to COVID and have only 60 days grace period left to file a h1-b transfer in order to continue stay in the US? Please provide suggestions.

Lol unsure what happens to these condescending Desi Managers when an American gives excuses for not meeting a target at work. Desi Managers (not all) can do only what they could and mostly on other Desis who are on Visa 😂

Just a reminder for no particular reason, having good health insurance, if you can afford it, is an expense not worth being stingy about. A freak accident happened to me (I’m young and was in good health) and the bills just rolled in. Insurance is paying 95k+ and my out of pocket max for the year is 5k. I’ll probably have another 90k incurred by end of the year and I’m not stressing because I have decent insurance.

I did mine at a different firm than I joined full time and am considering just including that experience under my current firm rather than listing out the internship separately.
