Has anyone successfully managed to negotiate switching an offer from one office location to another? I am interviewing for a role in Toronto and want to see if I can join the NYC team instead (they do collaborate quite a bit). Any tips or advice would be great

Congrats on the interview! I have never made a move like this myself, but I don't see why not. I would prepare to discuss how you would be a good fit in NYC and at least ask if transitions are possible if not immediate. It certainly doesn't hurt to ask.

That would be an interesting move. I would be a little wary of getting ahead of things by trying to change the location before you actually have the job. I may be wrong, but I could see people finding that unusual and perhaps indicating that you're not seriously interested in the job under discussion. (Which, to be fair, does seem to be the case.) I think perhaps focusing on landing the Toronto job and then working toward transferring to NYC might be a less riskier strategy.

I imagine it would be something easier to do down the line. Locations are often deliberate and decided based on business strategy so it’s unlikely they would change it at this stage but you could always ask the question.

Is there a website that shares announcements of recent contract wins by federal contractors across all federal agencies?

Sometimes the leadership does not even inform you on the status of a submitted proposal unless we win the work. I get why they are doing it but it would be great if there was an external source/website that would share this info instead of us waiting around to hear from them.

Hello All, I have offer in hand of 27.5 LPA+15% variable from ZS Associates as a BT Solutions delivery consultant and now my current company is ready to retain me by matching the offer & assuring that they will send me onsite to UK in couple of months. Stupid Question but what IS tech trans? I’ve seen the chambers/vault articles & firm descriptions but I still don’t get it - are you specialists that support deals? Do you manage M&A/capmkts deals for tech clients? Is it mostly commercial contracts? Is it mostly ECVC? Tech Trans lawyers: what’s your day to day like? Interesting. Let’s see if the uptick In cases continues to drive an uptick in hospitalizations and then in fatalities. Depends on how many of the cases are incidental or in very young people not prone to severe cases. But either way, look at the hospital capacity utilization figures! This is the untold story. Were we bending the curve to avoid unnecessary deaths due to overcrowded hospitals, or were we bending the curve to buy time for treatments and vaccine, or just to slow fatalities?

How do referrals work?
If I get a referral from someone and I apply, then can I still reach out to a recruiter on LinkedIn expressing interest in the role? And do I let them know that I already applied? I currently hold offers from below:
IBM - 15.5 LPA
CTS - 18.5 LPA
PWC India - 16 LPA
Oracle Financial Services Software(OFSS) - 21 LPA

Planning to join OFSS as I will work in product development team and can work in any shift timings with WFH.

Today I had my 2nd round interview with EY GDS and got rejected.
Do I need to worry about this and feel low?
Could EY GDS would have been better instead of OFSS?
