Hello All, I have offer in hand of 27.5 LPA+15% variable from ZS Associates as a BT Solutions delivery consultant and now my current company is ready to retain me by matching the offer & assuring that they will send me onsite to UK in couple of months. Congrats on the interview! I have never made a move like this myself, but I don't see why not. I would prepare to discuss how you would be a good fit in NYC and at least ask if transitions are possible if not immediate. It certainly doesn't hurt to ask.
That would be an interesting move. I would be a little wary of getting ahead of things by trying to change the location before you actually have the job. I may be wrong, but I could see people finding that unusual and perhaps indicating that you're not seriously interested in the job under discussion. (Which, to be fair, does seem to be the case.) I think perhaps focusing on landing the Toronto job and then working toward transferring to NYC might be a less riskier strategy.
I imagine it would be something easier to do down the line. Locations are often deliberate and decided based on business strategy so it’s unlikely they would change it at this stage but you could always ask the question.
