Has anyone taken an in person class (NYC based) that you think made you better at your job? I’m thinking more like Continuing Education/leadership skills vs pottery or something. My company pays for this stuff and I’ve never taken advantage of it.

Improv is always great; some of the schools also offer storytelling and narrative classes which I think are helpful regardless of your role.

I did Continuing Ed @SVA years back (Graphic Design). I found it inspiring to get back into classes with a lot less pressure. and def learned a few things.

I took a class on Flash once. That was before the overabundance of tutorials online and certainly helped me in my job… then… lol

We have this benefit too and I struggle to make use of it.

Second City improv.

We had toastmasters come in to the office and it was decent. Note this was 10 years ago if they’re still around.

My agency actually brought someone in for a presentation skills three-day workshop for a few of us and it was super helpful

Any tips, tricks for GMAT and using Magoosh effectively? I’m a month-ish out of test day, and using Magoosh... my practice test says 660 (although I did much higher on GMAT math than Magoosh math).

This is going to sound like an insane question but I keep reading comments in various threads saying that a 760 GMAT in the banking / consulting / PE world is pretty average and won’t help an application. If true, what is the alternative? Retake for a 780??

AD called and offered me a DJ41, azzurro blue dial, fluted bezel ref no. 126334. Visited AD last Sunday (10/02) for the first time. I feel fluted bezels are a bit flashy, but unable to decide if I should wait for a smooth bezel, given the wait times and uncertainty associated with Rolex. Any suggestions?

Joined pro a few months back in TC, I notice that the all the talks of big growth etc. was just talks. Have not had any decent project lined up and been sitting idle for past month. Also, majority of existing projects are Risk, audit and compliance related or we are trying staff aug / managed service (outsource). What is up with this, contemplating if I made the wrong decision to join pro from Big 4.
