Or like me, you graduate from Rhode Island School of Design.
Excellent work/life balance. Always. Best people (in terms of intelligence, capabilities, and attitude) I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. HR and wellness are great. Lots of Pros hard to make a list. Fantastic view from the office as well (Chicago and NYC). Projects are huge brands and Fortune 500 companies, ranges from entertainment to finance. Lots of functional work. Full service agency so you get to interact with every discipline if you do choose to make friends with people or are amiable to get to know everyone.
Cons, I suppose, is that the work isn’t always ..... creative. Which is just real life. All my UX peeps are happy. My developers peeps have a great time. Anything specific you want to know?
I have a friend who was a UX Director at Isobar. He ended up doing more project management than UX leadership.
That’s pretty much the exact info I was looking for. Thank you! 🙏
Many deisgners come from short courses and transferred into design with little experience and progress quickly. It shows in both the craft and consulting
What do you want to know?
Pros/Cons. What’s it like working there? Good culture/projects/work life balance?
Isobar in oz is the worst in terms of talent
@RMIT University could you please explain?
Isobar culture varies a lot by office. The CEO is somewhat recent and installed by the holding company, the founding CEOs are out. They are top heavy in some offices, which is making VPs nervous IMO, which trickles down to the accounts. Which means it is more political than it has been. Which means more who you know favoritism vs. What's your skill/talent/contribution. This is all in reference to Isobar US.
