Hi Fishes,
I am a python developer with 3+ years of experience. And now I am thinking of learning c++ . So guys can you help me with these questions which are coming in my mind:
1) Is it worth learning C++ at this stage.
2 ) If yes what kind of opportunities I can grab by learning C++.
3) How much hike can I expect by learning C++ on my current CTC.
Nvidia Intel Corporation Google Qualcomm
Thanks in advance 🙏🙏.

It wouldn’t help. It would just out everyone who joins. Right now a lot of us who can pass for younger are living on borrowed time before anyone finds out.
Exactly this. I went back to college in my 20s and so my graduation date is much later than it “should” be. I am fit and generally can pass for 8-10 years younger. Not in a million years would I join a public “over 40” group. Maybe when I’m over 50?
You mean offline?
Blacklisted? Is there a blacklist?! Ahhhhh!!
Interesting thought. But what would be the purpose of that group?
First, you have to have a general sense within the industry that when people admit to a specific issue’s existence, it‘s a bad thing. Like sexual harassment, or discrimination based on race, gender or sexual preference. Today, hardly anyone would say those things are okay to continue. So the groups formed to champion those issues only need to make everybody aware of their existence. Not to convince people the issue is bad.
Is ageism the same? Do we really think that even if there was concrete proof of ageism, this industry would step up to fight it? I suspect no, not right now.
From what I can see, the ad industry actually fosters ageism. Older creatives are seen as a liability, they are not in touch with consumer trends, they are a financial loss in the ledger. Blah blah blah.
So, when you talk about starting a group, realize that you are fighting against something many leaders of the industry don’t see an issue with. It’s about educating that ageism is bad for business. Bad for creativity. Bad for advertising.
