If I see one more article on how millennials are ruining the economy or housing market by not buying enough homes or selling enough homes I'm going to scream. We were saving for 3 years before Covid and had to use a solid chunk to take care of ourselves and our families during quarantine. Now that we're ready to save again inflation and COL are at an all-time high and we're headed into a recession. And somehow this is my fault for what...not being a boomer? Bffr.

It's never made sense to me that the articles are all about the generation that's having to live with the consequences of the mistakes the older generation made. Why is the article never about older folks not spending enough? Why is it our job? Lol.

Me and my husband made offers on few houses and we never get accepted!! Why? Because ppl are offering 100k extra on the initial price or they’re coming with cash offers!! Please where is the inflation here? I feel like ppl are rich and Covid made them more rich

There is a shortage of single home family dwellings in the US. Developers are cleaning up by buying the houses that are on the market, paying well above the asking price, and then building the home bigger and ultimately raising the price significantly upon resale.

The younger generations have it 💯 times harder than previous generations, hand down!

Younger people always want to blame the people that came before them. Like the new generation is doing everything perfect🙄.

Looking into an advisor to manage my crypto investments (really don't have time for it). Friend works with a guy who is a wall street retiree but now has his own family office and manages friends on the side. Offer: He has access to your accounts and trades as you and every 90 days you give 20% of the profits. Thoughts on this? Worth it or sketchy? Tried it on my own but I don't know enough and stress too much about the volatility. I just want peace of mind and know that my wealth is growing.

Here’s my plan of attack:
- $30K saved right now ($20K in IBonds and $10K cash)
- $90K saved by July 2023
-$130K saved by 2023 and target a $800K home

My boyfriend and I make 200K combined and live in NJ. We have $1000 in monthly car payments combined. That’s all we owe. Our credit scores are in the 800s. We have 50K to put down on a home. We have done the math and I know we can afford much more but he doesn’t want to buy more than a 400K home. I’m almost positive we can afford 500K and be more than ok. But then he starts to talk about how much kids cost and how we will be house poor and we won’t be able to afford kids. 🤔 Am I insane??
