Have been interviewing and have no luck landing. It seems like recruiters from agencies are looking out for art directors with proficiencies in socials, animation, video editing, 3D, UX/UI and Figma. And, I’m terribly outdated as a creative and it’s really competitive. Anyone in the industries knows what sort of work are these agencies looking for? So that I can upskill myself and create some specific specs work to improve my employability.

Is SEO a lost game for a startup? I read a new perspective arguing that for SMEs, competing on SEO is a long and constant fight against the algorithm. Bigger companies have the specialists and budget to undertake the challenges but for new companies, it is much harder. I also read that content marketing should focus more on thought leadership and creating a community of followers.

Any fresh thoughts?

I’m a Junior at Colgate University and have been heavily searching for a summer 2022 internship since October of 2021. I have had countless networking calls with various alumni in different professions and have learned plenty of great information, but have not gotten lucky enough to find an internship. I’m beginning to worry that opportunities are going to become hard to come by for summer of 2022. Any advice?

How difficult is it to transition into banking when your experience in mainly from Fortune 500 businesses like FP&A?

Took a gig in a team that got back to me with a contract faster than another team as they had to get approval, people on vacation more, etc etc. Was in need of employment certainty at the time. Can someone explain how billable hours work? At a new agency and although I had to fill timesheets at my previous agencies, they were mainly used to ensure we weren’t over servicing a client/for setting the appropriate retainer for contract renewals. I asked ppl at my agency but haven’t gotten a proper explanation. I get the impression that billing to the agency admin code isn’t recommended, and my manager said he bills everything to client codes, but that doesn’t make sense to me .
