Have you seen this crap? I was trying to stay neutral on the shutdown, but how are we not going to get back pay?

Maybe this wouldn’t be a problem if the dems didn’t shutdown the government…almost as if they don’t care about the everyday worker

likefunny

If you’re furloughed why would you expect to be paid? If you’re still working then they better pay up but if you’re taking a little break then hell no!

Ignore the noise. We are legally required to receive pay thanks to the last shutdown. Unless Congress changes the law mid-game, we’re good.

Breath it's a law in place that you will receive your back pay.

I don't think it's actually going to happen. Pretty sure that'd be illegal. Maybe I'm overoptimistic though.

Not that legal has shaped policy recently.

I do sales for a major engineering firm. Focused on new business and exploring new markets. Last year I was in the top 50% for order intake, and first in number of projects won along with number of new customers. I think this is extraordinary given the effort it takes to win new business.

For next year my goal increased by 2.5X, and less of what I bring in counts towards that target. I really enjoy my job but I will essentially be getting a large pay cut. Lost in what to do besides quit??

I’m job hunting in Los Angeles, looking at a variety of titles (HRBP, Sr. HRBP, Manager, Sr. Manager, Director). I have 8 YOE and my SHRM-SCP. I reached my report limit on payscale.com, so I used a variety of other sites to price the roles (BLS, salary.com, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Robert Half). The problem I’m having is the huge inconsistencies between sources (there are $40k differences between some of the identified medians). (Continued…)

This post is an alert message for anyone joining the Johnson & Johnson EMEA account for SAP & had Rakesh Sharma for their Manager round.

He is nothing less than a con man & will promise you a lot to make you join the account. After that he will put you in testing projects. If you ask for a release, he will either not release you or release with a very bad rating and influence other project managers to not take you into their projects.

You will be left with no choice other than leaving TCS.

The first rule of overemployment is dont talk about overemployment to anyone outside your house. :). Second: always protect the main job. Third: As the main job always has the priority, the Second and third jobs must preferably be contract gigs with not too many meetings everyday. Remember: another day, another dollar.
