It’s great. Much better than human drivers
I was completely ignoring them for the longest time, but EVERY visitor that comes by is shocked that I don’t ride em. So I finally made an account and..
It’s a great driver. Better than most Uber drivers in the situations I experienced. Side benefit: it doesn’t smell like sweat and smoke in there
Love it. Will usually opt for it now over Lyft/Uber unless wait time is long or price is a lot higher.
Was on edge at first but was impressed by how it drove. Seemed much more safe than Cruise
Not yet! I does kind of freak me out a bit. But on the other hand being in an Uber with a stranger isn’t much more comfortable. For as many human errors as drivers on the road make, really can see the self driving cars being better in that sense.
Pro
I rode in one. It was very smooth. Handled some pretty complex maneuvers and intersections with ease. Very clean. Would definitely do it again.
I tried it and like it. The only reason I haven't used it more is because it typically cost more than uber/lyft, with longer wait time. This has changed recently with the wider launch, so I should try it more often.
I haven't tried it yet! I've been waiting to kind of see what happens after they've been driving for a while before I take any risks. I'm sure they are better than a lot of the Ubers and Lyfts I've been taking recently though haha
Not yet - it was 50% more expensive than Uber when I checked a couple of routes. I’d like to try it out but not when it’s more expensive than the ride I already take
It gets the hate because when it gets stuck, it really blocks the traffic for quite some time. People have much higher expectation from a vehicle on the road driving autonomously!
Yeah, I really like them. Think the hate is just from people who are scared of the unknown which I understand
I did, and it was an amazing experience. And you're right: it drove much better than most of the human drivers here.
