Haven’t seen one of these done here before. Ladies and gentlemen, this is known as an “unboxing”. We all get to share in the process of seeing that new watch for the first time. Happy Friday! 😊

Beautiful wooden box. Punching way above its weight class already.

Lots of goodies! Including a free Swiss Army knife (wasn’t expecting that!).

Before I get to the watch; here’s all that you get: extra NATO strap (ultra high quality; Monta is VO-owned by the same guy that owns Everest straps), travel pouch, booklet, warranty card, polishing cloth, and a cool knife.

So similar yet so different.

40.7mm x 12mm, with 1000M water resistance and a micro-adjust buckle (super similar to the Rolex Glidelock on the Submariner.).

Totally forgot that the include a strap changing tool too (it was hiding in the pouch)!

I like it.

Is this a reputable brand or just another Instagram watch?

Awesome thanks!

Love this ritual. Beautiful watch!

Did I mention fully lumed ceramic bezel, full link screws (like Rolex), and fully articulating links?

Great case opening! Only 50 made?

This is from their official Instagram back when they originally launched the 12-hr bezel. They also confirmed it when I was messaging them directly. I could see them bring it back though, if people really start asking for it.

Buckle mechanism. Very cool

Nice watch and the value for money seems exceptional!
Do they use in house movements? At this price point an ETA would be totally justifiable.
Congrats with the purchase.

It’s a Selitta SW-300, which is the higher end version (vs the SW-200), and Monta actually regulates it to +/- 5 sec. I actually wouldn’t want in-house in this price range. Even major names struggle with brand new movements (eg Tudor with the Black Bay GMT date switching issue). I expect this brand will continue to grow and I expect big things. Maybe this 12-hr bezel will be the next Paul Newman...lol, I kid, but the watch is great, haha.

Where did you buy it from? Directly from Monta? Very nice looking watch.

Direct from Monta. Check out their website and read some reviews. They make 4 different watches, two of which are GMTs. For the GMTs, just note that they don’t have the independent hour hand for time zone switching. Rather, you’re able to adjust the GMT hand directly. It’s a little different from how a Rolex GMT Master works (which is what’s called a “true GMT”).

I saw a blue dial diver, similar to mine, for sale on the forums for close to $1k. If I didn’t want this 12-Hr version I’d totally snap up a like-new pre-owned from eBay or the forums.

Some of these matters are multi-plaintiff and multi-defendant cases, but none are class actions. This does not include any matters I am handling in the charge stage or in pre-litigation. Not sure if that’s a typical caseload or not?

Finally got my hands on one. I was expecting it to feel much cheaper than it does. Definitely still get the quality feel that Swatch is known for. The weight is nothing like a real speedy, but still looks great imo. I went with the Mission to Pluto as I didn’t want one that looks too much like the real thing, and the Mars/Sun versions had the gauche white strap imo. Overall pleased for $260.

Why would a luxury watch brand make/sell connected or smart watches? What is the business reason for it? To me it just kills the brand value. For instance I was a big fan of Montblanc but after I see their smart watch line up I instantly devalued the brand in general. Same for Tag (tag is questionable anyways), or Breitling. What is your opinion on this topic?
