Ya good luck going from endless resources to nickel and diming. Been there done that, awful experience lol but not to say it will necessarily be that way for you. Just know you likely got hired to be the grunt given your experience.

Just made the same move and now I’m leaving the boutique for a government job. I think it really depends on the people, but be prepared for much less support and training. Make sure your work product is as flawless and complete as possible when you turn it in—higher ups don’t edit as much. And ask a lot of questions and deadlines and process! It’s not as inherent as it is in biglaw. Do your best to become as organized as possible.

Good luck!

Has anyone quit their job because of a relationship? I started my job 3 months ago and now my employer wants me to move to NY. The thing is, I fell in love during the pandemic with a friend that I have known for 3 years. It's frustrating since I know I could continue my job from home. I would honestly quit my job and wouldn't mind the job search again.

Any craft beer brewers here?

In the last two year I’ve gotten more and more into alcohol free beer. The selection in my country (Europe) is still small and mainly driven by the big brands (e.g. Heineken). My idea is to start my own small brewery which only produces alcohol free beer as a bit of a pendant to the booming local craft beer industry. Any thoughts on that idea or someone who has experience in the market?
