Applied for a role internally and feedback from 1st round interview was positive. However, I was told there’s strong external competition who have more experience in the field and likely to get the job. Hiring manager told me to consider a different open role in the team where I’d be a much better fit. The other role isn’t exactly what I was hoping for but could be a foot in the door. Has anyone had similar experiences? I don’t know whether to abandon this completely or remain persistent. Thx!

Recently I have been looking for a job switch. I have recieved an offer from a startup company whose client is hpe. HR round was taken by a HPE manager too. They told they have 25-30 employees in hpe. They have other clients like Deloitte, PWC .
He told after 6-8 months of performance I can be in direct payroll with HPE.
So is it a good idea to join ?
Or shall I look for other jobs ? Please help ..

1. Hr told me that the advisors department has something called MAIP for variable payout which is always higher than other departments (all others have SIP)? Can someone clarify this?

Current offer from wipro 24 CTC b3 band( 8 YOE data analytics space, business analyst), i quoted to capgemini that i expect 30LPA, probably capgemini may finally offer me 24 to 26 ctc. I liked only wipro JD not CG.

It has been 4 weeks now and I haven't had an opportunity to do any substantial work. Even the user stories are written by product owner. The product owner does not assign any work to me directly,inspite of asking repeatedly. What should I do in this scenario?
