Is IB worth the sacrifice of WLB? Obvious pay is really good but are the prestige and pay worth it if you’re planning on only doing it for a couple years?

Currently working at an IRA with great WLB. Honestly I love my job, the firm, and people I work with.

Also doing MBA part time at a T15 school. Thinking about switching to IB but I’ve done my research and I think I would burn out of IB in two years but I might be ok with that for the opportunities after.

Hi, currently making 10.5 lakhs fixed as AM ( recently promoted) , have an offer from KPMG for consultant for 15.5 fixed. Should i take demotion from AM to consultant. Also if i resign now , will miss out on 1.3 lakhs rupees bonus which will get in September. Also please tell about DT-CDSG team at KPMG India. TIA

This will be the first time I will be in tax slab.
I have few queries can anyone please help me regarding this.
In ELSS mutual the total we can save save tax is 1.5lakh. Do we need to invest yearly 1.5 lakh yearly to save tax? I am planning to have a Sip of 5000 monthly for 3 years. So total money invested in 3 years will be around 60000 * 3 = 180000.
Will that be sufficient to save tax or Do I need to have a sip of 12000 per month to save tax.

I have an offer with 12 LPA as a SA -QA1 as OMS QA (Functional) ; I don't have much experience in automation, mostly I have worked on functional/buisness part of testing ; can anyone let me know what is the future for a tester in PS ? will the resources gets projects , or not with this kind of profile

Anyone make a career change from consulting to law enforcement? It’s always been a dream of mine and I can’t help feeling that I’m just wasting away my years in consulting. Would love to hear if anyone has experience with this type of switch.

Are consultants only seemingly more capable (at times) because we dedicate all our client-facing time on a single project vs. juggling multiple projects? All my client's leadership teams seem like a mess but I think it's just due to their lack of opportunity to focus on anything for long enough to know what's going on. Am I thinking about this completely wrong?

Hey folks, I'm getting an offer as a SC in EY UK. Presently I'm a manager with EY India (up for SM next yr Oct 2021). Comp is 55k range (haven't officially received the figure, a few more days it's expected, doing some homework before that).

I'll be moving with family. Wife may not immediately start working (,find a new job, we have a toddler daughter as well 2 YO).

I personally don't find this offer commercially attractive. Can someone offer some counter arguments?
