Got caught up in company lay offs and I’m not sure what to do. I sometimes feel like I haven’t acquired any actual skills during my stay to pivot into an actual management consulting role I want.

How do you respond to someone whose response to the recent rise in anti AAPI hate/rhetoric is “I don’t know anyone who dislikes Asians”, “everyone is racist”, “racism isn’t evil, it’s ignorance and biology” in a way that’s neutral and educational?

I’m at the point where I don’t really care to engage but also don’t want to remain silent.

How many matters is typical for one associate to handle (BL lit)? I know it is group-specific, but just trying to get a general idea. I’m a 2nd year and I am the only associate staffed on about 30 cases-meaning I keep track of all deadlines, do all day to day assignments, keep on top of following up with client/OC, and all research/drafting. Partners handle deps/court but that is about it. Is this a normal case load to be responsible for as a jr? I being dramatic by thinking this is too much?

Is anyone else worried about screen time or strict about it? I'm a bit torn about it and curious of everyone else's thoughts.
