As a new joiner at TCS, I would like to know if there is a cool off period before accessing the HiS portal. I have been trying to access it for a week, but I keep getting an error message saying "We are unable to find your enrollment within the system," and it also mentions a 30-day period and to contact HR

Could you please confirm if the 30-day period is the cool off period or if it is possible to access the portal earlier than that? Thank you in advance for your help.

How to avoid immediate staffing after completing the one project?
Somebody advice on this please.
I literally need 1-2 weeks bench/off time.

I have declared my investments in tax declaration portal , still I see in monthly salary that there is huge tax deduction.
In my previous organization, once I declared my investments in the tax portal , then my salary was very less affected by tax deduction.
But in ey india , I don't see any effect after declaring my investments.
Kindly help me how to declare investments so that there will be less tax deductions from my salary .

Is there any reason to NOT max out a 401k? I’m 23 and will contribute about $10K this year ($86k salary at ~11.5%). Does it make sense to max it out? I don’t have any large upcoming milestone expenses except maybe going back to school in 2-3 years, but not for certain yet.
