Why so much obsession with Bosch? They were saying "New Normal" and "Smart Work" in 2020/21. Then they started "encouraging" RTO. Then 3 days in office, then 4 days in office. Next it will be 5 days and even 6 days. Salary hike is postponed till July (or even later), they put freshers offer letter on hold, then "converted" job offer to apprenticeship. They're putting people on PIP and LPM. Onsite is stopped. Despite all these, you still want to continue with Bosch, for which you're even relocating! If not self respect, can you at least have some common sense? You won't be happy at Bosch in Coimbatore also, they will continue the same shenanigans there also.
I don't know who you are but maybe something is wrong with the way you read. I never said I'm a new joiner! I have been in Bosch for many years now and I specifically said am looking for a transfer! I can clearly see who doesn't have common sense here. If you had some you would not be putting out your frustration on strangers and would in fact figure your own stuff out. I never asked for your opinion and that was not my question either. Thanks but no thanks! Accept that things change and move on. I am pretty happy with my job role and pay too, even after choosing to relocate to a place near to home. You have a problem with Bosch, you may leave!
Best wishes to you with that attitude.
To others reading this, yes Bosch is facing really bad times now and it has been going on for a few years now. For people who have been with Bosch for years and working well, things are fine. If still such seniors have issues, it is best to leave if you are looking for immediate stability. For freshers or lateral entries, it's best to stay away till things are stable again.
My post was to ask about options for stay in Coimbatore and nothing about the work culture in Bosch. It has nothing to do with Engineer 1 insults. He must have had a bad experience like I had in my previous company. Dreadful is the 4 days because I have to travel too far from my native and hence am choosing to move closer to the available office. Bosch did not have hybrid working policy before Covid. Hence working from office is not a burden to me - only the travel is now. If hybrid working is what you seek, then also please do not join as I'm sure hybrid working will not be provided in the years to come.
I'm 100% sure others can get better opportunities in other companies, but I'm alright here. And as I said my post has nothing to do with the work culture. Ending this here since I have accepted that things will always change in Bosch and choose to be here for many other reasons of my own. The day I feel I need to leave, I will just like I did in my previous company.
I moved to coimbatore around 1.5 years back. I have observed that none of the apps actually work for finding houses in saravanampatti arsa, either the owners will not pick the call / it would be already occupied. The best thing to do would be going directly to each apartment in the locality you are targeting and check with security / caretaker.
Thank you for the input. That would mean it would not be an easy task and would take more time that I assumed. Will try to do the apartment hunting in person. Thank you once again.
You can post in associate arena as looking for rent. Or time to time there are some Available for rent posts that could be useful.
