Hello guys, just need some opinions.
I’m now working as an Assistant Engineer/Technician 4 on rotating shifts, and I just got offered an 8–5 Engineer job. Pay is only slightly higher, but I’m thinking to take it as a stepping stone.
As per my supervisor, a promotion at my current workplace is not due anytime soon. Since I’m a foreigner, I do get low-balled a bit, and jobs are hard to get these days.
What do you all think — take it or wait for something better?

I just left my pre-seed startup that was running out of cash (we made $100,000 in revenue this year, and sunk $1m in costs). I was making $40,000 as a developer (plus 20k stock options at $1/share per year) and they refused to pay me any more money. I have 17,000 vested stock options, total number of shares at the time of my contract was 4million.
