I need help managing a contract transition. I just started working as project manager owning a large system and help manage a team of developers contracted by a different company. Now their contract is ending and I’ve been asked to represent the gov’t as a contractor and make sure the transition goes well. Holiday Season - at my former company, around this time of year I would have already gotten a ton of gift baskets etc. - not something I would ever take home but open up for the team and leave out. Started somewhere new last November, have dealt with multiple firms in various regions of the last year, many of which have billed several $100ks, have yet to receive anything. Is that correct?

Worked as an admin assist for 5 years... was fired for ASKING FOR A RAISE. Was making $22/hr. Located in NYC. Past 2 months i have going on interview after interview only to be ghosted. I've applied for some executive admin spots as well. Any advice on getting an exec assist job?

Question : I have two offers on the table. 1- 22.25/ hr - permanent position with benefits and vacation
2- 24.71 / hr - 12 month contract , 4% in leui of benefits , possibility for permanent

Both are 35 hours, same schedule .
Either decision will hurt someone. Whether it be coworkers or new employer.
What would you choose ?
