Don’t mistake working as an accountant for mutual funds, etc. as working in finance. It’s a niche accounting skill set and you’ll quickly become pigeonholed.
The above answer is a good one in my opinion.
It’s not traditional accounting so your exit ops would still be assets and wealth management company
This is more of a geographical question. If you live in New York City and will stay in New York until you are retired. It’s a great career. There is a lot of companies, and jobs pay well. But if you are not in NYC. You will most likely be in a market with less options for employers.
