Hello, I just wanted to encourage everyone to keep your head up. When the days are bad, just get through them, but try not to spin out on negative thoughts. Try not to read too much in the "it's bad out there" stuff, it's not about being oblivious, but rather staying optimistic, reading the negative is not going to help any, so just keep moving forward. Tell yourself everyday that you are worthy and your time is coming and things will improve. Bc reality is they aways do. You got this!

6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. I already applied for unemployment but doctors are telling me I’ve got 10-14 weeks left in this pregnancy.. so stressed having twins and being unemployed, no maternity leave, no paychecks coming in, and I’ve been applying but not a single interview.. just ugh. 😭

The severance package at Meta for laid off employees almost makes it nice to be laid off depending on what your personal situation is….. personally wouldn’t mind getting 4+ months of full pay to reset and think about what’s next 😬

A couple months back, I had an offer for a BDR position that I ended up turning down but I really liked and connected with the manager. Is it worth it to reach out? I applied to other positions in the same company. What about reaching out to previous co workers at a different company? Not sure how to navigate this… please help.
