I ended up doing a master’s in leadership which has been extremely helpful with OD and CM work. That might be a good option for you as well. Whatever you choose, good luck and congratulations all at the same time! Grad school is intense and it is hard to juggle with a career but it is definitely worth it.
What school?
I know USC Marshall kicks butt at the Deloitte HC case competition every year and is a very strong presence in the LA office / West region.
Not an MBA but Pepperdine is known to have arguably the best OD masters
Cornell’s dual MBA/MILR program, Vanderbilt’s MBA with Human & Org Performance concentration, BYU’s Strategic HR track are a few. Wharton has an Org Effectiveness major, but not as familiar with that. Ross, Fuqua, McCombs, Kellogg all seem to do well in Human Capital recruiting, but could be as much about established alumni bases/clubs as dedicated curriculum. Not as familiar with them.
Thank you so much! This is super helpful. Kellogg, Fuqua, and Cornell were already on my list so it’s reassuring to hear that they succeed in that area of recruiting.
CBS has org behavior MBA
Why a MBA?
@GT1 - a few reasons.. first, I’m lacking in business experience/knowledge that I believe is essential to making impactful, effective change via OD/strategic change work, and I think business school will give me the foundation I need in order to be successful. Additionally, I want to enter the OD field via consulting and the exit opps from top MBA programs seem to be better than OD masters programs for those firms
This is helpful, thank you everyone!
