Hello! I’m looking for some ideas for quick games to do when I have a random extra 5-10 min during the day. Heads up seven up, Who’s the leader, etc.

Also, what are some short (15 min, or so) YouTube videos that you like to show when, for instance, the kids can’t go out to recess due to weather.

4 corners is another great game for the classroom. I forgot what the name of the game is called, take a small soft ball, have students stand up, goal is not to drop the ball and throw it to someone else anywhere in the room. Next, a student starts by throwing it to someone else, everyone counts as the ball is tossed around the room. Then see if you the class improved their highest score. Students love this the catch all students must participate.

On you tube the Magic School Bus is a great short program for students.

I will try this!!

Kids love playing with balloons and a really simple game is just keeping it in the air. For older kids two truths and a lie can be fun!

We called the balloon game "balloon ball "🤣

One of my frustrations with myself (writing it out here so I can work on it) is that I will print out something that I need, such as a traffic collision report. I will read it without actually reading it. This results in spending time without actually retaining info. Does this happen to anyone else? I’ve found that I can actually focus when I truly force myself, but often this happens after I’ve discovered an error or an important piece of information that I should have noticed earlier.
