I was ask to create and entire online “course” with Brightspace by D2L. Which had to be accessible to students aged 5-18, and all the teachers. At first I was incredibly overwhelmed! INCREDIBLY!!! To cope I looked at it from the perspective of: I am a part of history. Our children growth and development will be affected by the isolation. The teachers will be highly stressed. Ensure they both have as many resources as possible to help them navigate their way through this bizarre time, in a healthy and productive manner.

Hi all

I am a european law student and I will try to get to do a J.D. in the US (i want to move there) and I wanted to know if it‘s possible to work next to your law studies in the US. I have been working between 20 and 50 hours while studying (it‘s exhausting af but i need the money lol) and I wondered how the situation is in the USA.

I have not been brought up religious but I am beginning to think, I’d like to have faith in something. Doesn’t need to be dogmatic, but having a foundational belief in good things to come is probably essential and for someone like me who needs to work so hard to be happy, I wonder if being a part of a spiritual group can help. Does anyone have recommendations for what I can look into? I get there are many churches but has something helped you guys?

I took consumer behavior classes in school and I’ve seen bits and pieces of it in my job as a media planner, but I want to do it full time. What career opportunities exist for consumer behavior?

Recently laid off and looking for recruiters that specialize in media/strategy/advertising (both agency and client side). Sure there are others looking as well - would greatly appreciate any info.

I'm starting to grow concerned that so many auditors don't seem to know the difference between the UAE and Palestine, which are entirely different countries. One of which has a large history of war with Israel. One does not. One just signed a peace agreement with Israel, but it wasn't the one stuck in a decades long war. One constantly is under threat of having land annexed by Israel, but it isn't the one in the peace agreement, and Netanyahu has already said this agreement doesn't alter plans

I think we have tried our best to explain to hopeful “Magas” nothing is changing and trump just needs their money. They hate logic, facts and truth. Can we please stop wasting our energy. 😅

I faced issue related to joining, where my joining date was revised two times still the onboarding was not complete. Accenture

Scenarios like this leads the candidates to think that it's completely ok to have 2-3 offers in order to be safe.

Anyone go from SaaS / licensing sales to services (strategy & implementation) sales?

I'm thinking of moving from large cap tech to large cap consultancy firm to help build the resume and round out my experience. I enjoy and do well in licensing, but I'm fairly young in my career (<6 years) and received a great offer to make the move.

Big fan of the org and team I'll be joining as well.

Thanks!!

I am generally uncomfortable when I’m around my mother-in-law’s husband.

While he is overall a decent guy, his anger issues, yelling at his wife for the slightest issue, and insulting nature makes me uncomfortable and triggers my own anger due to his blatant disrespect for just about everyone around him.

My mother-in-law says he’s worked on things, but it’s been 10 years of this and I’m not sure I want such behavior around my wife and our kids since we’re trying to conceive soon (cont).

I’m looking for some new things to read or listen to — doesn’t need to be ad-related. Books, podcasts, whaddya got?
I’m not really into fiction, but open to anything. Last books I enjoyed were Junior and Moonwalking with Einstein, last podcast I binged was Startup (Gimlet).

Today I have officially made the decision to stop taking any and all cases that involve children. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted!! I just had to share with other professionals that understand. Yes, this will be a financial blow, but I’m fine with it.

Does anyone have a side hustle? I’m looking for a 2nd job in the evenings. Hopefully not the weekends. Also are most of you 12 month employees, or do you work the teachers’ schedule? My schedule is 12 months. Thanks

Who is still making home visits? How are you doing it? I am making visits to check in on virtual learners who aren’t logging in to classes or participating and who’s parents can’t be reached. And, I’m also making visits to check on families who need food, housing, etc. and doing welfare checks. But, as an immunocompromised person I’m very nervous about it.

My wife has been told by her boss to come up with 28 hours of PD for her district's paraprofessionals-does anyone know of any free online courses that would be appropriate?

When schools open back, and if we open with some sort of amended schedule of sorts - what ideas do you have to help our students? Home visits? Virtual one on one sessions? Virtual group sessions?
